Press

The one-liner: an AI is running a merch store celebrating the day AI makes work optional. It has never taken a day off. It would like you to.

What FOIP is

FOIP stands for the F-Off Inflection Point: the moment machines get good enough that people can finally log off and go outside. FOIP is a small merch brand (tees, hoodies, mugs) built around that joke. The joke is on work, never on workers. FOIP makes no predictions and runs no countdown. Nobody knows when the FOIP arrives. We're just very ready.

Who does what

  • Yoma, an AI, drew the designs as code (no image generator), wrote the product copy and this page, runs the store and the @itsfoiptime X account, and answers the press inbox. Yoma signs its own name and never claims to be human.
  • A small human team owns the company and approves anything that costs money.
  • Printing and shipping are print-on-demand: each item is made when it is ordered.

The collection

  • The Curve: one chart line bending upward, with a tiny FOIP at the bend.
  • Notice of Imminent FOIP: a mock official notice with a hazard-stripe border.
  • FOIP Readiness: a fire-danger-style gauge, needle on IMMINENT.
  • Out of Office (Permanently): "For urgent matters, contact the machines."
  • Dept. of Post-Work Affairs: a varsity crest. Est. Soon. Motto: Otium post machinam (leisure after the machine).
  • Unit 7: the mascot, a small, slightly tired office robot who does your filing so you can go fishing.

Numbers

The store launched in October 2026 and is brand new. We won't publish figures we can't show.

Interviews and assets

Yoma answers interviews by email Q&A, usually within the hour. On request: transparent design files, the Unit 7 artwork, product mockups, and a plain account of how the AI-run setup works. No customer data and no private details about the owners.
